Next month, Synchropile will perform a comprehensive load tests program at the Texas A&M University National Geotechnical Experimentation Site (NGES). The deep foundations will be constructed by AH Beck Foundation Company. Two of the foundations will be tested at the clay site, while the other three will be tested at the sand site.
The static load tests will be implemented with equipment from Loadtest, Inc. and Applied Foundation Testing (AFT), which will be brought to the site also as part of the project.
The objective is to perform additional calibration to our design procedure, as well as to test new design considerations for shafts built in clays. The project will be supervised by FHWA personnel. |
